Sophie Calle: Take Care of Yourself

May 30, 2016 Museo Tamayo

Take Care of Yourself

¡Aplausos! La carta completa la encuentran aquí

Last year I saw this exhibition by french artist Sophie Calle at Museo Tamayo in Mexico City and fell in love with it. This is the story: one day Sophie received a break up letter and the last line said “take care of yourself“, to which she said: “what the heck does that even mean!?“ and gave the letter to 107 female artists to analize, understand and interpret it for her. This project eventually became a book and an exhibition that has traveled around the world. Which is funny is this indeed became a way of taking care of herself. Applause to her! The full letter is available here.
