Loved their permanent collection! Lots of modern and contemporary art and well-known names such as Degas, Monet, Van Gogh, Renoir, Matisse, Kahlo, Picasso, Mondrian, Miró, Pollock, Rothko, and some 21st Century artists like Felix Gonzalez-Torres (love him) among others.
Anyway... finally, on the first floor there's the exhibit I came to see: Out of Sight! Art of the Senses, where the idea is you can interact with all the pieces.

Más que hablarles de la pieza, les cuento lo que me pasó. En una sala obscura, “colgado“ de una pared parece haber un cuadro del que sale cierta luz. Viéndolo a la distancia da una sensación de calma. Por supuesto, una curiosa se acerca y toca una de las esquinas del canvas luminoso sólo para darse cuenta de que ¡no hay nada!... el canvas es en realidad un hueco en la pared del que sale una luz apenas perceptible. A mi lado, una niña se acerca y sin miedo ni pena mete sus brazos al espacio y todos los adultos solemnes alrededor suspiran de sorpresa y se acercan a “tocar“ esta pieza. Lo amé.
Rather than talking to you about the piece, allow me to tell you my experience. In the middle of a dark room, “hanging“ from one of the walls there's a canvas that seems to be producing a barely noticeable light. Looking at it from afar one would say it gives a certain feeling of calm. Then of course, a curious person like myself gets closer to the luminous canvas and tries to touch it, only to realize the “canvas“ is actually a hole in the wall, from where this certain light is coming! then next to me a girl comes close to the wall and without any shame nor fear, immerses her arm completely into the piece and all the solemn adults around her sigh in surprise and delight and quickly walk towards the light to experience this by themselves. Loved it!
And of course, an Art Selfie, or Selfie du Jour... you know, to document I was really there. :P
